Absolutely Delightful, my favourite book this year!

I absolutely loved this book. I literally got to the end and wanted to start again to devour it from the start. There were no parts of this book where I had to plough on. I loved it all.

Lydia was once a top chef and is now a food writer. Her best friend and colleague Caroline knows nothing about food unless it is fried she won’t eat it. Caroline organises a trip to Corfu to creat a Luxe Living special Greek edition.

Thanos is fed up filleting tuna on Tuesdays, following a tragic accident he is his fourteen year old brother Onassis guardian. He has to work but his passion is food. Ismena his elderly neighbour who took both brothers under her wing is a force of nature and has plans for the boys that involve anything but settling.

Lydia and Thanos meet after Thanos helps a friend out and she tastes his cooking. Through fate or chance the two meet again in Thanos’s home town. Thanos helps Lydia rediscover herself and her love of cooking and Thanos begins to open up himself and truly seek what he is passionate about.

The characters in this book are all wonderful. Lydia is kind and warm where Caroline is hilarious and loving. Thanos is handsome and gentle. Ismena is by far my favourite character.p, everyone needs an Ismena in their life. Lydia’s parents defy the norm in terms of stereotypes which is lovely and real.

This book will is heartwarming and hilarious. I would give it six stars if I could!
